    Hello everyone, i need help.
Whenever i render my video clips from sony vegas, i usually use the template HDV 720 24p intermediate template. After that, i will be creating a dvd in Architect pro 5.0. The problem that i have encountrered were:

    1. On preview, when the vid clips are animated, the animation on the video clips are not smooth, it is slow

    2. When rendering and after burning, the 24p clips flicker, same goes with the menu page it flickers.. i have tried to set the reduce interlace flicker and still no good.

My previous architect software (bundled with platinum 7) did not encounter these problems and created a dvd smoothly. I am starting top regret upgrading to vegas pro 8.

Hoping to hear your suggestions or solutions

    best regards

This might be a dumb question, but when you render the DVD, are you interlacing it? Just wondering.

I don’t do 24p but I had a look in the Architect online help menu and it had this to say.

    Options > Prefs > General.

Allow pulldown removal when opening 24p DV option.

Select this check box if you want to remove pulldown when you open 24 fps progressive-scan DV video files.
When the check box is cleared, 24p video is read as 29.97 fps interlaced video (60i).

There’s more in the online help about 2-3 and 2-3-3-2 pulldown that may be relevant to your problem.

I uninstalled the 5.0 version and reinstalled the 4.5 version which was bundled with sony vegas pro 8 and the problem is fixed.. weird, i guess 5.0 has bugs.
