  DVD Architect issues with avi files.

  HI all. I have recently obtained a copy of Sony DVD Architect, but I am having a really strange problem. Whenever I go to insert media I receive an error “The selected file is not of the required type.” After that I receive another error “An error occurred during this command (id:4253)” under that it says “An error occurred when opening codec.”

  What does that mean and how do i fix it.
  I switched from TMPGEnc 4 to this because of compatibility issues, and that files loaded in there just fine.
