I do subtitles for Hearing Impaired. I have a ‘skit’ that is funny due to the alliteration, so something like ‘sunny said seriously sandra so…’ and if I do subtitles the normal way, the the sentence is out before it is said which is not the proper way to do them. (both Deaf and hearing should get the info at the same time).
So rather than lots of tiny text boxes with one word each that flash past too quickly, I would prefer to kind of ‘roll’ the letters in like an old typewriter would so that the info is coming at the same pace but the sentence is staying on the screen. Can this be done? I’ve only ever done subtitle boxes that come up with the whole box at once.
If it’s not the right forum please let me know.
    thanks.
