March 5, 2012 at 4:50 pmThanks Kelly,
I’ll compare it to my installation and check for differences. But my problem is with DVDA STUDIO. I don’t have the Pro version. But I wonder if I would just temporarily install the trial version of the pro version and then copy those two files into the Studio version.
Maybe worth a shot before un-installing everything. I sure would have liked to have gotten a screen shot of the Studio version to see if there are any other files missing.

March 5, 2012 at 5:03 pmMy problem originated in DVDA 5.0. With the help of SONY, I straightened it out the same week I took possession of and installed Pro 5.2, so I was experiencing this issue before I upgraded. Upon the removal of 5.0, I performed the clean uninstall just to insure that I would have no further issues when 5.2 had been installed.
If you are using any other SONY products and decide to go ahead with the clean uninstall procedure, be sure to install DVD Architect first and nothing else, just to be sure you get it right. After installing it, try to produce a small BluRay image to your hard drive to make sure it worked before installing anything else. This was the way I went through it and have no problems at all now.
I hope the best for you.

March 6, 2012 at 1:14 amWell after looking at your screen capture, I could see a few files that are missing in my folder. But since you are using the Pro version, I wasn’t sure if I needed to get all the files in your folder. So I just downloaded the files that I was getting the error message on and copied them into the DVDA Studio 5 folder. Then I tried to prepare another test Blu Ray image. This time I got a different error which referred to a missing udf_image.xsd file. But after downloading and copying that file into the folder, DVDA Studio seems to be burning blu ray images now.
So to recap, the files that seem to have been missing were:
StatusCodeTable.xml
StatusCodeTable.xsd
udf_image.xsdI’ll have to do a real Bly Ray to make sure, but so far so good.
If this works, it will have saved me from having to completely un-install the whole suite as well as re-download the whole Production suite (as per Sony instructions) just for 30 kbs of missing files. Thanks again for your help.

March 6, 2012 at 1:58 amNot a problem. For me it’s a bit of an OCD issue. I can’t stand to NOT have things the way that I want them and know they should be.
Glad it’s working for you.

March 9, 2012 at 6:26 pmYes, it will. Remember that you will need to uninstall ALL SONY products as referenced in the instructions, aside from the apps that have nothing to do with video authoring.
Follow them very carefully. My guess is that some registry keys may be shared by more than one app, and that’s where the problem may be hiding after removing only one SONY app.

March 17, 2012 at 1:47 pmWell actually, if you read my post just above yours, you’ll see that the problem I was having was with Studio, not with Pro. But instead of un-installing everything as Sony suggested, I simply copied and pasted the missing files into my DVDA Studio folder.
The files that were missing in my case were:
StatusCodeTable.xml
statusCodeTable.xsd
udf_image.xsd
ess.dll
OpcPcmImporter.dll
Sony.MediaSoftware.ExternalVideoDevice.dllI’m not sure which one finally fixed the problem. But everything works now. And it did save me a lot of time in having to re-install the whole Studio Suite and Microsoft .net software.

March 17, 2012 at 3:02 pmI understood it completely, but there is no practical method of determining which registry entries should be removed to allow you to NOT remove all SONY software, hence the “blanket” suggestion.
SONY was about to send the “StatusCodeTable.xml
statusCodeTable.xsd” files to me but suggested that I peruse the previous solution. Since I had no jobs on the table, it was feasible for me to do so.Glad you got it fixed, and now we know at least two solutions to the [MUX] issue.
Cheers,

March 22, 2013 at 2:58 amYou are a genius! Found the missing files from a working version on another computer and copied them into my Win 8 system Worked like a charm. Meanwhile I’m till waiting for Sony support to respond. Thanks for posting all the details, glad I found your post. Would be nice if Sony updated their FAQ database to include this problem. I’ve been using Vegas since Sony acquired it and remember when I could actually talk to a tech rep and they responded within a day. Guess they’re getting too big now.
