  • DVD Architect 5.0 – Burn later subtitles don’t come through

    Hi
If I use DVD ARchitect Pro 5.0 to make and burn a DVD from CURRENT PROJECT, then subtitles come through on my burnt copy (I don’t need to turn them on, they default to ‘on’).

If, later on, I want to make the same DVD using NERO and I choose the video_ts folder, NERO will make the DVD but it drops the captions off.

I presume this is something to to with the fact that I save the DVD originally as MPEG2?

My boss wants me to delete all my raw footage off the computer because it’s taking up too much room. He says the video/audio_ts folder is all I need to re-burn and I no longer need all the individual clips anymore once I have a ‘media’ folder.

The problem is, if I do that, I don’t know how to
    (a) re-burn and keep the subtitles in tact
    (b) be able to edit the subtitles and re-burn if someone tells me there is a mistake that I need to fix (in the subtitles).

At the moment I keep my .dar file and all the raw footage and if I need to re-burn I do it from the .dar file in ‘burn current project’ but Iknow that’s not the most efficient way.

I’ve tried to re-burn using Vegas Pro 9 but that also drops off the captions.

I hope it makes sense and that you can help,
    Thanks.
