I’m a little confused about DVD Architect and it’s BLU-RAY capabilities. After several attempts, I successfully rendered and burned a BLU-RAY project in Vegas PRO 8. Now, when I import that or
an MPEG rendered project into Architect, does changing the properties to “BLU-RAY” instead of “DVD” actually produce a 1080i High definition disc if rendered and burned on a BLU-RAY disc in Architect 5.0? Also, on several occasions, when trying to import a project file, I’ve gotten a message that says the file is not in the correct format. I’ve tried changing the settings, but that doesn’t seem to solve the problem. Any suggestions? Thanks!!

Yes. Usually I start a new project with the Blu-ray settings before I add any media, but changing it after you add the media will work as well. This is how I make both DVD and Blu-ray from the same DVD Architect project.

What format did you use? From Vegas Pro 8.0 you should be using one of the MPEG-2 or AVC templates that start with “Blu-ray” in the name. Then render your audio as AC-3.
