DVD Architect 5 creates Audio_TS and Video TS — no lead in, disc is not playable

I don’t know what’s causing your particular problem but when I run up against a problem like this I have DVD Architect create a DVD image (ISO file) and then I burn that with another program. In fact, I got into the habit of always making ISO files this way I can burn copies very easily with DVD Architect as customers need them.

John is correct here. His solution has been part of my workflow for DVD burning forever. I burn a DVD master then use Roxio to burn an ISO image and just burn DVD’s using the ISO image. Never a problem. Just sayin’.

Actually, I almost always use this technique even though DVDA then burns the DVD. I always do the prep first, and then perform the burn after the prep. I’ve never had a problem with unusable disks.

As you say (I run up against a problem like this I have DVD Architect create a DVD image (ISO file) and then I burn that with another program)….how to change DVD file to DVD image (ISO file) and whats is another program?At the moment i use burn aware as you recommended to me 3 years ago.
I am really having probleum,my customers always complaining me that the DVD always freeze and play.

DVD MEDIA : Verbatim
DVD Architect PRO 6
Thirt Part Program : Burn Aware

Pls help on this matter.

There are usually 3 causes for this:

1. The video uses too high a bit rate
2. The media is low quality
3. The burn was too fast and you need to use a slower speed

So I have to ask:

• What bit ate are you creating the video at on DVD?
• What exact Verbatim disc are you using? because they have a “value line” that is cheap and should not be used and they also have a more expensive line of discs
• How fast are you burning?

I still recommend Burn Aware because it’s easier to use than ImgBurn but that’s an alternate program you can use. I must confess that since I’ve moved to the Mac, I don’t burn discs with Windows anymore so I haven’t used Burn Aware in over a year. I assume it’s still good.

If my video below 1 hour,i use CBR 8,000,000 and more than 1 hour i use VBR.

What exact Verbatim disc are you using? because they have a “value line” that is cheap and should not be used and they also have a more expensive line of discs?
I need to check back because the lable is missing but i just both in malaysia RM 50.00 = USD 12.7808.What means exact and value line?Is spec for DVD.

How fast are you burning?
I always use the lowest speed 6x,my dvd/Blu Ray writer plextor.Its goes until 6x only.

Verbatim has two series of discs. The DataLifePlus discs are the ones you want. The Value Series or as they are now called, DVD R Life Series are inexpensive discs that are meant for non-critical applications. I would not use these for clients or any storage that you plan to keep for a long time. If you are going to buy Verbatim DVD’s, only get the DataLifePlus discs.

This is critical for everyone to understand. Using a brand name is not enough. Every brand has a “value” line which are cheap and should not be used for critical work. Some brands like Memorex are just all cheap and should be avoided all together. Some brands like Fuji you need to look at which country they are created (Taiwan or China) in because one country produces junk while another produces good discs. I keep forgetting which is which so I just avoid Fuji now. It’s something to really be careful about.
