I’m using DVD Architect Studio to create some DVD’s. I’ve used some of the stock buttons that inserts the first frame of video into the cutout of the button. Is there any way to change which frame of video goes into the button? Most of my videos start in black, so the cutouts just have black in them. I suppose I could rerender my movies with a single frame of what I want in the button at the beginning of the clip, But is there another way?

    Thanks,

    Jeremy

I wouldn’t alter your actual movie just to get the DVD menu buttons right. I had this too; the black frame thing. So I simply used Vegas to render out the individual frames I wanted to use in the menu as jpg/bmp files (magnify timeline, select only the single frame then render region only) and used those in DVDA to replace the default first frame pictures in the buttons. Maybe there’s a better way within DVDA but I couldn’t find it.

    Good luck!

Select the button and under Button Properties in the right panel, click the Media option change change the Start time under Thumbnail Properties.

You didn’t ask. 😉 (now you know) of course… had you bought our training DVD: Getting started with DVD Architect you would have know that and a whole lot more and when you consider the price vs the time you spent figuring it out or performing work arounds… you would have actually saved money! (ok, that was a SHAMELESS plug buy hey… the rent is due soon) ;-D
