Is there a way in DVD Architech or any other authoring software to embed a pause command? I have to make a training DVD that will need to be paused at certain times, and I need a way to have the pause automatically happen. Thanks

The way I do this pause in to place the command on the chapter markers. I don’t use DVDA so I can only give general advice.

The key is that you place the command on the chapter BEFORE the one you want the pause to be on. So it the pause happens at chapter marker 3, the command is entered in chapter marker 2. When the device plays through 2 it will then pause at the next marker.

Note that this action goes away if you are fast forwarding over either marker.

You’ll need to get the demo yourself and try it out. DVDSP is the only tool I know, other than Scenarist, that will do this.
