Show is 7.9 gigs set to duel layer dvd9
made two masters one using DDP2.10 and the replicator had me try another using DDP 2.00

both were rejected as she could not see the second layer and she said something about it looking like a multi session disc

I don’t see any settings on the mastering preferences about multi session or anything that would cause this rejection

the dvd I bruned to check works perfectly

Using Verbatium dvd-r DL 8.5 discs

any thing I should try next?
I lowered the bitrate to 6000 and am re-optimising for a smaller master, to see If that helps
    thanks, Greg

I read that one company needs one dvd with layer 1 and a second dvd with layer 2 ddp 2.0 for dvd9 duel layer mastering?

anyone delivering 2 1/2 hour long programs to replicators that can help me with the mastering settings etc?

Every dual layer DVD I ever sent to a replicator was on TWO DLT’s. I don’t think it is possible to submit the Dual Layer DVD on one DLT. Since I have not actually submitted a Dual Layer DVD since 2005, things may have changed. I owned a DVD Authoring and Post house from 1999 to 2005. I hope this helps!

    All the best!

I just talked to the post house and they said my disc is fine. As it is duel layer the ddp 2.00 render contained two folders and they are used to one. they said to label it as containing multible folders next time.
I asked If they want two discs for duel layers, she said no, but that makes sense to me to avoid problems

You would think that they do this everyday right?
