    Hi

This isn’t really an FCP problem but related and I wasn’t sure where else to post.

I am editing in DVCPro HD (720P60) and have no problems playing source files at this resolution in FCP 5.0.4 but cannot play the same files in Quicktime. When I select ‘View file in editor’ in FCP, a quicktime widow opens, but it’s white, and has a message saying that the required component is not available and directing me to an apple webpage which does not appear to have any relevant downloads on it.

I have the DVCProHD codec installed in the Library/Quicktime folder so I don\t think that’s the problem……

I’ve just upgraded to a Mac Pro from a G4, directly transporting everything across, and didn’t have these problems with the G4. Any ideas?

    Thanks

    Rose

Trying to open it on the same computer? Because I know that DVCPRO HD will not open on machines without FCP installed.

I know this is an ancient post, but I’m having a similar problem. Did roziegee get it fixed?
