    Hi,

I am trying to export a 55 minute DVCPROHD 720p timeline to Standard Def. MPEG2. Is there anything “special” I need to do in “Compressor” to make this work or can I use a standard 90minute preset to make this happen??? Will it take a long time???

    Thanks,
    Craig

The Standard preset should work. It converts the HD material to an SD MPEG 2.

So far I have compressed DVCPRO HD for the Web…haven’t tried DVD yes.

Just export a reference Quicktime Movie from FCP, Quit FCP, then use a standard MPEG-2 compressing setting in Compressor and you should be good to go. If you use the Export To Compressor option, it will be VERY slow as FCP stays running in the background.
