DVCProHD downcon. FCP6-Can’t READ FILE????
Hi there!
I am working with the Sony AJ1400 DVCProHD Recorder, I am downcoverting HD to DV, trying to capture DV with FCP 6.0.1. When I esc the recording process, I get the message FCP can’t read file, no film file, etc etc. There is no file recorded.
Have you had any experience as such or would you have a clue how to work around, or maybe what I should do different?Thank you!

Do you have the 1400 set up correctly to downconvert? The process works fine as long as you have the deck set up correctly.
You can capture using the DV-NTSC or DV-PAL preset in FCP once the deck is set up correctly.
