    Good evening,

We’ve normally captured our Varicam footage via HDSDI (DeckLink) to uncompressed into FCP. The other day I noticed, quite by accident, that FCP had gotten smarter, and if I had a project that was 24p and captured 60p footage using the DVCProHD settings, FCP extracted the flagged frame and slowed approriately.

Now, I should have done some testing at that point, but instead I decided, “great, I’ll capture like that for my next slow mo footage” which brings me to where I am now.

I’ve just digitised a bunch of footage for a music vide shot with the artist singing and performing to a 150% speed track, shot at 36. I was kinda thinking (hoping) that the audio would be slowed down accordingly, but much to my chigrin, that’s not the case. I now have beautiful slomo footage and 150% audio and everything is hoplessly out of sync. Strangely, the clip audio/video lengths are Identical, which really makes no sense to me. What did I miss? Client is in tomorrow and I’m trying to find a solution rather quickly…

    Thanks
    Chris
