    hi-

i’m about to do a project in 720p24 that will land in 29.97 and 720p. with that said, and having a film background, would using 24PN be a benefit, hindrance or non-factor for editing/delivery? the thought is that i’ll add pulldown in FCP.

there will be some AE work added to certain clips. i would deliver the 720p version on a hard drive and the 29.97 version via Kona 2/DVCPro50.

    thoughts? ideas?

    thank you in advance,

    eric

If you have no intention of printing to film in the end, then 24p would ease the work the computer has to do just playing back the files externally… because they are recorded at 29.97 in actuallity. PN files will be true 24fps qt movies so the computer will have to add back pulldown just to view them externally, and they will look exactly the same in any event.
