    Use easy set up for DVCpro50 Pal. Make sure your footage and sequence codecs match. We use DVCpro50 ntsc all the time with no issues.

    Your capture presets and sequence settings are not matching. They must match PRECISELY to view and edit w/o rendering.

    Capture presets are in the Audio/Video Prefs.
    Sequence Settings, select the sequence and type CMD + 0
