What are the benefits of working with DVCPRO25 vs. DVCAM? Is there any at all?

And could these formats work together on the same timeline in Avid Xpress Pro 5.7.7?
What about DVCPRO50, can it work together with DVCAM or DVCPRO25?

We have SONY DSR-1500AP available for DVCAM/DVCPRO25 and a Panasonic player for DVCPRO50. Both on FireWire.

    Any thoughts?

DVCAM and DVCPRO 25 are the same codec. DVCPRO 50 is the 50mb version of that codec with a 4:2:2 color sample.

You can mix all three together if you like on the Avid Timeline.
