DVCPRO HD randomly references wrong clips or clip generators in timeline
I’ve been working in a DVCPRO HD (1080p) timeline in FCP 5.1.4. When you move the playhead over certain clips which are not even rendered, do not need rendering, etc. footage that is not associated with it appears. Almost as if FCP is referencing the wrong clip. Usually, however, what shows up is a clip from another timeline an usually it is a text generator of some sort. If you pull another clip over it, then move it away, it disappears. Has anyone ever experienced this problem?
I have tried trashing preferences as well as dumping all render files and letting the timelines rerender. The problem seems to be getting worse. Out of 8 systems there is only one that we have this problem on. Any suggestions would be much appreciated. Thanks!

Sounds like a bad corruption in that project. I’ve never seen anything like this on our systems and we edit a ton of dvcpro hd all the time.

Yeah, of all the projects we’ve posted in DVCPRO HD this is the first time I’ve ever seen anything like this. I’m kind of at a loss for what to do with it, but continuing to try different things. Thanks for the input.
