Activity Forums Adobe After Effects DVCPRO-HD Quicktime in Windows?!

    Are you talking about running into DVC codec issues? What we did (i dont know if this is your situation or not) was; loaded the DVCPRO files into Finalcut Pro (comes with the codec) and then render the the file as a Quicktime UNCOMPRESSED (removes all codecs, this will be a large file). Put the uncompressed quicktime onto a MAC/PC compatible external HDD and imported into our windows based AE…..Im not 100% sure but if you have Avid media composer I believe it comes with the DVCPRO codec and you can do the same process. The reason why it wont just go into AE is cause AE CANNOT read the assigned codec that comes with the DVCPRO. Totally 100% uncompressing the file should make it work.
