When I select the 59.94 file to be converted, I get the error “No video file found in selected clip.” There is video there…

January 6, 2006 at 12:54 amThe clip needs to be in the browser for the tool to work, not in the Viewer, so ensure that you’re doing that.
Also, whenever I use the tool, I move all the clips to be converted to their own project, convert all the clips, then bring them back to the main project.

January 6, 2006 at 12:59 amThanks Walter.
It was in the browser, but didn’t work. I brought it into a new project and the conversion worked like a charm.
Sweet!

Great! Yep, that’s one of those ‘gotchas’ that I’ve found with DVCPro HD.

I have run into this also when using a portable drive for my scratch disk and that disk went offline then was reset at a later point. I have also seen this after a hard crash.

May 6, 2008 at 2:22 pmSo what is the benefit of using this method as opposed to shooting in 720pN and selecting a frame rate of 60? Is the 60p converted to 23.98 a better quality image? thanks in advance!
