    Hello

    I have a simple problem.
I shot a corporate video on the HVX200. Recording in 720/50p on a firestore. I recorded in 50p to have the ability to slow down the footage if needed. I have decided to use most of the footage in slow motion.

The clips convert very well in FCP 6.0.4 with the DVCPRO HD converter tool. no problems. But I can only convert one clip at a time. As I have more than 300 clips to convert I was wondering if there is any batch solution to do this.

    Thanks in advance

AJA’s IoHD and Kona cards have the ability to handle this task when working from tape masters, unfortunately I do not know of a way to do this with P2 materials “en masse”

I didn’t test this method, but I believe you can use Cinema Tools to batch convert your clips to the desired frame rate. The operation is called “Conform” in Cinema Tools parlance.

Be aware that Cinema Tools doesn’t keep a copy of your original footage, so be sure to back up your clips before using it.

In Cinema Tools, ignore the startup dialog where it asks you to create a database, and select Batch Conform from the File menu.

    Thanks for the help.
Cinema tools doesn’t work. It says something about: codec has temporal compression. Apple compressor would work. But then my mac would render more than one full day. So I think I have to bite the sour apple and convert all the clips by hand.
