DVCpro HD aspect ratio
I ve some dvcpro HD files ingested with FCP7.
When i import those files in FCPX, images are displayed in 4/3 format.
If I choose a 1440×1080 project, the format of the clip edited don t fill the 16/9 format but stay square in the middle. If I choose “fill‘ in the video pref of the clip, the clip is zoomed to fill the sequence format but not in the good aspect ratio of the pixel.
Does FCPX can work with 1440×1080 DVCPRO HD format or not ? -

I think FCPX just has major issues with 1440 x 1080 in general. My version will not allow me to import files shot at this aspect at all.
To fix mis-sized clips I find the distort tool to be your best direct answer, adjust the clips to proper size. This attribute can be copied and pasted to other clips as well.
