    Hi,

    Got an interesting problem.

Have been working with DVCPRO HD 1080i50 timeline cutting videos taken from the Firestore. No problem whatsoever.

After finishing the edit, I want to archive the final programs as a DVCPRO HD 1080i file for backup.

So I mark in and mark out in the timeline and export QUICKTIME movie (no recompression whatsoever). When I bring in the movie after exporting back into FCP, and placed it in the same timeline of the original movie. End up i needed to RENDER the movie!

This was not happening until the recent upgrade to Quicktime 7.1.5.

Somehow, I checked the settings of the movie from FCP, the movie is exported as Aspect Ratio: Square Pixel but older movie exported is Aspect Ratio: DVCPRO HD (1440×1080).

Even the video size is different: the new video size is 1920×1080 while the usual video size from old exported movie is: 1440×1080.

Anyone can try this on their computer and share the experience?

    System:
MacPro, Blackmagic HD Extreme Card, 4GiG Ram, FCP 5.1.4, BM Driver 6.1.
