    I think it is the difference between megabits and megabytes per second. Usually it is delineated by big M or small m.

    FCP doesn’t change the data on ingest so both rates are the same.

    Thanks Mike..But Im still wondering..so 13MB/sec = 130mbps..that would be over the native data rate?

    DVCPRO HD 720p60 is 100mb/s. If you capture a lower frame rate, like 23.98, then the data rate is less…because you captured less frames.

    And the math isn’t straight even numbers. Just like 1MB isn’t 1000KB…it is 1024KB.

    your school district must have taught the “new” math. 1 Byte= 8 bits, so in my school district 12.5MB/sec is 100mb/sec.
