DVCPRO HD 1080 24pA captures at 960×540
I’ve been capturing in two rooms. One room randomly gives me a clip at DV/DVCPRO 29.97 960×540, even though the other clips on the same tape came in correctly at 1080 24p. If I try to recapture the clip it does the same. When I open the QT in quicktime it shows as 960×540 also. Logging doesn’t help and capturing on the fly doesn’t help either. If I take it to the other room and capture it’s fine. I get this every couple of tapes and at 300 tapes I’d like to trouble shoot it rather than ignore as some clips are 20min of interview.
I’m working off a 7.5TB fibre raid with plenty of room, but I’ve tried going to a Lacie fw800 disk as well as the internal HD just to see. I’ve reinstalled and trashed prefs.
I’ve also, tried numerous deck and capture adjustment, i.e. pre/post roll but to no avail.
Both rooms are the same:
Mac Pro
OS X 10.4.8
Dual 2.66 intel
5 gigs of ramAny light on something I might have missed would be much appreciated.

captures at DV/DVCPRO 23.98 not 29.97, and I’m moving the same 1200A deck from room to room when I try
