i have some clips which were shot with the panasonic p2 at variable frame rate. they are dvcpro720p60 59.94, however niether the frames rate convertor or cine tools will recognize them as clips which can be converted. What seems to be the problem here?

If you downloaded the panasonic frame rate converter, it does not work. Try the one on the FCP install disk under extras. I had the same problem and that fix worked for me. Good luck!

only for versions BEFORE the 5.1 UB

for 5.1 and later it is in the extras folder on the installer disk.

it has to be a camera original file, not edited or a sub clip
it must be selected in the root level of the browser window or
dragged into the browser of a new project

for p2 you shouldnt need to convert right? the files should be slow mo on import. Feels like there was a capture problem.
