The DaVinci_Resolve_8.2_Supported_Codec_List.pdf for Windows is just a copy of the Mac pdf. Doh!

The Mac pdf says you need FCP installed for many codecs to be supported in Resolve.

How about Windows? I’ve got the Panasonic P2 drivers, AVC-Intra drivers, and P2 Viewer installed, but the BMD Resolve / Browse / Media Storage screen isn’t seeing any of it 🙁

Hi Tim, actually the supported codec list for Windows is not quite the same as for Mac and both were recently updated. If the codec you are looking for is not on the list its because its not currently supported. There could be a number of reasons for this and we actively work towards expanding this every chance we can.

Thanks, Peter! I didn’t notice the separate categories in the PDF that’s shared on both the Mac and Windows support pages.

It’s surprising to me that no AVI formats are supported in the Windows list.

I wonder what the relationship is between the FCP and Resolve apps that allows the more extensive codec list in Resolve.
