    I am filming a wedding using a SONY DSRPD170P DVCAM and using dvcam for the first time. I have a macbook pro and final cut studio 2. Is there anything important I should know about capturing video from a dv cam or is it just as simple as using normal mini dv tapes?

    DVCAM and MiniDV are the same DV format. The only you will notice is if you record in DVCAM format you will get 40 minutes on the tape. 60 minutes in DV mode.
