DVCam for doing batch capture
I need to batch capture from DVCam tapes using a Media Composer edit list that originally captured from a Sony DSR-11. Will the Sony DSR-11 o this or do I need another DV Cam deck with RS 422 control?

Well Avid is going to need to take control of the deck to search out the inpoints for each clip, so you would need deck control. Was it just manually digitized with no deck control the first time? Do you clips have proper timecode on them that matches the source tape?

To answer my own question I had a DSR-11 and with MC 8.3 on a Mac it is working
great so far. It is requesting the correct tape and adding video and audio frame accurartely.Woody Retherford
