May 23, 2011 at 8:36 pmBoth should still be good enough for DVCProHD. Is the G-Raid full or close to full?

May 23, 2011 at 9:10 pmBoth my G-Raid and Lacie are half full. Here is the crazy thing. If I pull one section of video to the G-Raid or Lacie, the playback artifacts, but straight out of the FS-100 when I open a Quicktime file, no artificating. really puzzling.

May 23, 2011 at 11:33 pmSo this happens with any drive connected via eSATA?
Can you try a different eSATA cable? If the problem persists…
Can you try Firewire or FW800?
If the problem goes away with Firewire, then your eSATA card (or its driver) is the problem.

May 23, 2011 at 11:39 pmYes, with all E-Sata drives. I will try FireWire in the morning to see if it changes.

May 29, 2011 at 8:20 pmUpdate on this. With rendered video to my Mac Pro, the QuickTime playback is fantastic with no issues. When it mistaken to another video venue campus, they are saying it looks like it is skipping frames at times. They said they a half-second issue, not stopping but jerky or hesitant in playback. The video is played out of a 3.06 iMac running DVI out to a DVI extender. Cat 5 . Could it be a video card issue on this?
