    Hello all,

Ok now that some time has passed since the release of FCPX, I have managed to stop hyperventilating and I finally have some time to explore X and try to figure out if it is going to figure in our plans.

Here is something I can’t seem to figure out.. working with DVCpro HD material 1080i60 1280 x 1080 29.97…

    4935_screenshot20121109at11.23.49am.png.zip

Ok so I create a new event and import the material.

Then I start a new project and put one clip on the storyline to set the settings… but FCPX tells me it does not recognize the format. How ever I set things, when I work with the material I get that fuzzy orange line that tells me that FCPX wants to render the material.. And it looks kind of fuzzy, as if it’s being resized or something…

WHen I try the same experiment with DVC Pro 720p @ 23.98 it imports perfectly with no render bars…

not sure why I cannot work natively with the 29.97 material … anyone see what I am doing wrong?

    thanks,

BTW i have done a bit of cutting and I am starting to like the interface.

Did that clip come in via Firewire directly from a camera or was it rendered someplace else? What was used to ingest the original clip- FCPX or another app?

It was previously ingested with FCP 7 and sitting on a drive.
