DVC Pro HD codec

Did a search and had a look on the apples website but could not find anything.
Can anyone tell me how to get DVCPro HD content to playback on a Mac that doesn

Try installing the Blackmagic or Kona codecs on your machine. Both companies allow free installation of the codecs without one of their cards, but I’m not 100% certain if the DVCPro codecs come from those packages or from FCP, or both.

No go with BlackMagic. Im fairly certian its an Apple codec. Will try Kona soon

Another solution would be to clone your MAC system drive from the machine with FCP to a firewire drive and boot the second machine from that drive when you want to play the DVCPro video.

November 24, 2006 at 8:23 amYou can’t do it. Listen to Gary. The Quicktime DVCPro HD components are exclusive to Final Cut Pro customers. It comes with Final Cut Pro and there is no other way to install them on a Mac as far as I know. This is due to some sort of agreement inked between Apple and Panasonic.
