DVC Pro HD
I am trying to work out the best workflow for a client who is shooting on HD CAM. The plan is to digitise the 30 hours of rushes via a Blackmagic HD card to DVC ProHD, to edit on DVC ProHD and when finished to lay straight back to HDCAM rather than reconform.
What should I be looking out for? – Its all 50i and there are alot of graphics and time remaps. Is this a good solution. How does DVC ProHD bump up to HDCAM?

I can tell you that using the Kona 2 to capture uncompressed HD to DVCPro HD works flawlessly. And then I can master right out to HDCAM via HD-SDI so it’s a very very clean workflow.
Im’ sure it’s similar on the Blackmagic card.

In our facility, DVCProHD and HDCAM do seem to play well together.

no frame size issues? And is there a playback bug with the external monitor in with fcp not playing?

nope.

not really sure what you’re asking here. I don’t see anything like that with the Kona 2.
