    A client of mine is having some issues with FCP capturing DVCPro footage. He’s using 5.1.4 and capturing off an AJHD1400. At first he was capturing DVCPro HD tapes. Everything was fine but he had a few DVCPro tapes. I told him to switch his capture settings to DV Ntsc 48. He has deck control and time code but no video or audio. I can’t figure it out. Any suggestions? This shouldn’t be this complicated should it?

    DV50, not DV.

    Can you even capture SD footage off a 1400 through firewire? I tried a 25 tape in an AJSD93 and everything went fine. Had the capture preset set to DV NTSC. When I hooked in a 1400 and played back the same tape with the same presets, I got nothing. Deck setting i’m missing here? Got control and timecode.

    I’ve captured SD footage from the SDX-900 with the 1400 deck by firewire.
