I’m trying to setup a watch folder on our SAN that our editors can use to create DV codec Quicktimes for our Audio guys to use in Protools.

Everything works great, except that the timecode track gets ripped off the original QT when it is converted to DV by Squeeze.

The video codec I have selected in Squeeze is “Apple DV/DVCPRO – NTSC”.
I get options for scan mode and aspect ratio, but no mention of Timecode.

When i transcode a QT (with a timecode track) using this preset, I get a DV codec QT with no timecode.

    Am I missing something simple?
How can i get a DV QT from Squeeze with the timecode intact?

    Thanks for any help,

    AFAIK you can’t.

If you’re on a Mac then Episode can. (www.flip4mac.com)

Squeeze is not really a pro-level product and as such does not include such tools and filters.
