DV Video playing at Twice normal Speed
Hi.
I have a strange problem on a DV timeline… The video plays at twice the normal speed, even when I simply press ‘play’. However, the sound plays at normal speed. When I open the individual clips in the preview window, it’s the same thing, the audio plays normally but the video is at double the speed. The clips are stored on a Firewrire drive.
I recently upgraded my system and I think my problem might be related to that. I have a dual G5 2.0 GHz running Tiger. I’m using Decklink 4.8 drivers, and Final Cut Pro HD 4.5. This is technically an unsuppoerted configuration, but there are a few people I know of working with the same system.
Could the problem be that I’m using QT 7? There is an installer on Apple’s website for reverting from QT 7 to QT 6.5 but is that safe to run with Tiger?
Any suggestions are much appreciated.

Try a reboot, then trash your prefs if that doesn’t work. Make sure your sequence settings are correct too.
