    DV via HDMI with upconversion at capture

    Hello.

    I’ve tried to capture DV PAL 16:9 via HDMI (canon HV20) in FCP 6.0.3 with easysetup ioHD prores 1080i25. Aja control panel is correctly detecting HDMI 625i25 input, then applies upconversion to 1080i25 to match the framebuffer setting, then downconversion back to sd to analog output for previewing on my sd monitor.
    The fact is it doesn’t work at all : captures in FCP have no synchro.
    My question is : do i do something wrong to directly upconvert my dv to HD at capture or is it not possible ?

    My gear : Macbookpro 2.4Ghz, 4Go RAM, 10.5.2, FCP 6.0.3, AJA 5.1.1, Scartch disk :2 To raid 0 via sonnet esata card.

    Are you saying it doesn’t work at all or that your catures are out of sync?

    Hi Jeremy,

    Capture is out of sync, as the sd output to my monitor.

    I have never tried upconverting via HDMI.

    Have you contacted AJA?
