.dv to uncompressed quicktime
Hello,
I hope something can explain something to me.
I have a short clip which is a DV – PAL file (extension is .dv) The file size is 110 MB. Now the quality of the clip is quite crappy. Especially text looks really bad. And it just looks a bit choppy.
Now I opened it in Quicktime exported it as an uncompressed quicktime 10-bit, 4:2:2. Then the clip looks really good.
But I don’t understand why. I always learned that crappy video’s can’t be made into good quality videos. So why does this work?Thank you,
Irene
