    Hello,

Is it possible to print clear photos from a still captured in Vegas? What is the best proceedure to capture and print stills to use as photos. How large of a photo can you get with clarity? Thanks in advance for your reply.

It is possible but, because it’s a video image (and is fixed at 720 x 480 pixels), I wouldn’t go any larger than a 4″ x 6″ image.
The final quality will depend on the quality of your original video. Obviously the better the video camera and quality of the original video, the better the resulting image will be.
Drop the file on the timeline, position the cursor accordingly, change the preview window setting to Best (Full) and click the floppy disk icon (Save Snapshot to File) at the top right of this window. Save itas either a jpg or png and print it.

The *best* way is to use a script to save the images. When using a script, it will not only change to “Best (Full)” (and return it to whatever you had it set at afterwards), but the scripts will also set other options to make it the best possible (such as deinterlacing).

However, most people simply do as Mike said and change the preview to “Best (Full)” and click the snapshot button.
