We recently swaped to a digital camera and I was trying to capture some vidoes into Vegas 11. As usual I went into my file menu and clicked capture video. It gave me a screen to choose between the DV input or another optoin. I choose the second option and all went well. My problem is I still have some older cameras that I also capture video from and I need to swap back to the DV input. Now when I click capture video it no longer offers me the DV input option. Can someone please help me get my DV input option back?
    Thanks

I’ve never used the capture program in Vegas. No particular reason except inertia. (Programs I used long before I started using Vegas 3). I use Scenalyzer for DV captures and HdvSplit for HDV captures.

Try Options | Preferences | Video and check the box that says “Use external video capture application

    Thanks John
I think after looking at the computer for 5 hours I could not see the forest for the trees. That fixed it.
