DV Import Settings…
Hello,
I shot a project with a Canon XL-1. I have high rez quicktimes of the footage and I want to import into Avid Xpress Pro. What are my proper import settings for a dv project:
Aspect Ratio:
Color Levels:
File Field Order:
Alpha:

Okay. I think these are the correct settings:
Aspect Ratio: 601/709, non-square
Color Levels: 601/709
File Field Order: Lower Field first
Alpha: IgnoreHope that helps.

The above said, it is probably also worth checking with whoever provided you with the QuickTime files how they were exported as far as ‘File Field Order’ and ‘Color Levels’ settings go. There are a number of different options for QuickTime exports.
