  DV import into Avid

  I’m trying to import from a miniDV tape into Avid 5.5. When I make the audio project format 32khz, I can import fine except that the audio is warbly. I assume that this is because the bit setting in the audio project is 16bit (no choice for 12bit, which is what my dv tape is).
  Is there anyway I can import the tape without bad audio? I tried importing at 44khz and 48 but the import would only last 15 seconds (although the sound was not warbly).
