Duplicating keyframes isn’t working, and I can’t figure out why
I’m using AE 5.5 on a Mac G5 tower running Lion. I’ve found that when I try to hold a keyframe in place for a few seconds — So, if I want the position to STAY PUT for a few seconds, I do this by copying the keyframe and then pasting it 2 seconds later in the composition. So, this should mean to me that the position shouldn’t change. However, I’ve noticed that while the position does return to its original location once it reaches this second keyframe, in between this time the position will vary widely. I’ve noticed that this happens whether I’m using Easy Ease or not. The only solution I’ve found is to copy the original keyframe and paste it on EVERY SINGLE FRAME until it reaches the point at which I want it to stop holding place.
There must be something I’m missing. Has anyone else experienced this?

Your keyframe interpolation is set to bezier or continous bezier and you want linear keyframes. Highlight all your keyframes and right click on them and select keyframe interpretation and change spatial and temporal to linear.
