  Duplicating edges

  Hi I’m new to the cinema4D. I’m trying to model skateboard but here’s a problem.
  Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

  Tutorial on youtube says that you can duplicate AND extend the edges if you keep clicking ctrl and drag the edges toward both sides—in order to make uplifting parts of the skateboard on both sides.

  But in my case, it just shows the percentage of extension while I’m dragging but after I take my hand off it doesn’t make any changes.

  I’m using cinema 4D lite in After Effects.
