    Quick question…

I have a project containing a comp, which in turn contains many precomps. I am creating different versions of the main comp, and so duplicating it (and the precomps inside it) to create these different versions.

My question is: is there a way to duplicate a comp that will automatically create duplicates of all the precomps inside it?

    Thanks,

    Steve

I believe EDIT>DUPLICATE should do the trick.

I believe importing the project compositions back into the project should retain the proper linking.

Chris is 100% right. I’ll often create little “snippet” projects that I can just import and adjust as necessary without affecting the original precomp. So give that a try.

    Cheers,

Thanks for the responses, guys. I was afraid the answer was no… It would be a handy feature for sure. I will definitely try the other method of importing the project. Thanks again.
