    Hi guys,
    I was capturing clips in DV with a DSR-45 on FCP 5.1. What hapenned is that the name of the logged clip was duplicated in the file name.

    exemple:
    logged clip name in FCP bin: building black1
    clip name in finder: building black1. building black1. building black1.mov

    So FCP wouldn’t reconnect to the clip when reopening the project. I would have to reconect manually one by one with the MATCH NAME ONLY function disactivated. Anybody knows what causes that?

    Some have pointed out that it could be a file name lenght problem…could it?

    It wasn’t the problem is that they were copied with the media manager and it malfunctionned. (hey…surprise!)
