    Hi All,

A little scripting question…. Is there a duplicate() method for AVItem / FootageItem in After Effects scripting language, like the one that exists for a CompItem?

I’m just going through a long winded process of making a new import file, laboriously reading all the attributes out of the original file and setting them in the new one, renaming it and then moving it to the same folder as the original.

It just occurred to me that someone here might know a method that’s as neat as the CompItem.duplicate() method. You can afterall duplicate footage items in the project window of After Effects. It seems strange that you shouldn’t be able to do it with script.

    Thanks if you can help!

    Ben.
