    Hi,

Is there any way to search for duplicate media in FCP??

A client sent me about 1000 P2 clips, and after I organized them into folders in FCP, the client realized that they’d missed a about 400 clips. So what they did was send me the clips again mixed in with the old batch. I don’t want to have to go through everything clip by clip if there’s a way to sort them in FCP.

    thanx

    regards

Have you considered making a smart folder in finder that can sort the clips before capture – comparing your existing folders with the ones they sent and resolving the difference.

You could then copy the contents of this smart folder to a seperate drive/folder and capture from there…

Just a thought – not tried this myself…
