Duplicate footage effect
In this video (https://vimeo.com/200406141) there is one effect that i’m trying to identify and know how to do it.
For example at 5 seconds, and in all the video it uses that effect. It’s like a ghost/clone/duplicate/glass effect.Anyone know what it is? Or how i can acchive something like that without any effect?

Copy the footage you want to use and place it above the corresponding storyline. Choose the Transform tool from the Inspector and scale, or rotate, or shift the position of the copied footage in relation to the footage in the storyline. Then choose the Compositing tool from the Inspector and choose a blend mode such as Normal, or Overlay, or Soft Light. Then adjust the Opacity to your liking. To hide distracting visuals such as the edge of the frame, you will need to mask those portions of the copied footage.

Hi! I’ve tried that but i couldn’t achive the same look.
It’s a little creepy :b it’s not like a reflection but like a real ghost ihih ☺ There’s any other way to do it?Thanks

It looks like they may be using a mask because only the hand gestures are doubled. Look at the groom’s face… it is crystal clear. So they are superimposing only part of the video which I assume is accomplished by masking out the rest. It sure looks to me like it’s just zoomed with opacity lowered to almost nothing or perhaps composited with screen mode. It’s definitely not a full frame overlay.
Don’t forget that it might look a certain way because of the “content” of the video. The white cuff will composite very differently than a darker color would so your video might not achieve the same result because of the luminance of the content.
