    Working on FCP 5.0.4.

The dupe detection isn’t working. I preset the timeline settings to show them, I clicked on “Show Duplicated Frames” on the timeline and I get nothing. I checked the timeline, zoomed in to see if I wasn’t seeing it, since it shows up at the bottom of the clip. Anything I’m missing or not thinking of? Any bugs I’m not aware of. The project was set up from QTs. I didn’t digitize these clips myself.

    Hi Jason,
The “Show Duplicated Frames” indicator only seems to work with FCP digitized video that has a true timecode track. After Effects renders are ignored by the indicator. After Effects renders don’t have a true timecode track. If you go to the FCP pulldown Modify>Timecode and add a source timecode track to your file then the duplicate frames indicator should work.

    PS
    Jason,
Did you email me with a FCP question? I saw an email from “Jason Spencer” in my bulk email but only after I had hit delete all. If it was you, could you email me again.
    Thanks
    -Eric
